First off, happy new year! Here's to hoping that 2017 isn't nearly as shitty as 2016. Anyway, today is a big day. I'm here to tell you all of the big changes I've been working on.
I'm going to put this bluntly; TheSuperNumnutz has been going downhill for the past few years. It's been increasingly difficult to sustain this YouTube channel. There's been crazy life things happening, changes in interests, and other difficult things. I'm sure many people have seen the downfall of this YouTube channel. I think you can tell by most of the views alone. I've been seeing some of the lowest amount of views in my YouTube "career."
Anyway, some major changes are going to be happening this year. January 23, 2017 will mark my 9th year on YouTube. On January 23, 2008 I made my first YouTube account (THEAWSOMEGROUP) and uploaded my first YouTube video. It's crazy that I've been making silly little online videos for nearly a decade. I'll be honest, I haven't seen much growth in the past 9 years, but that honestly did not ever really discourage me from making videos.
Sorry, I'm going all over the place with this. The point of this post is to let you know that I'll gradually be moving to my personal YouTube channel; ChaseYama. In case you don't know, I have a personal channel where I upload vlogs, music, and more. So there are two things I need to write about.
1. TheSuperNumnutz isn't very "marketable"
I haven't really thought about marketability because at this point, I'm still just doing YouTube for "fun" I guess. But I don't think that TheSuperNumnutz is a very good username to have on the internet. Anytime I tell people the name of my YouTube channel, they usually either laugh or look at me like I just insulted them. It wasn't a very smart decision on my part. At least in the long run, ChaseYama is a username that people will be able to understand the first time they hear it.
2. I want to go back to making simple YouTube videos
Gaming videos and skits take a long time to make. From recording to editing, it's just a really long process. I want to go back to being able to make videos that are easy. Not that they're not quality videos. It's just that easier videos means more videos for you to watch.
Of course, I'll still be posting on TheSuperNumnutz. Whether it's old throwback videos, quick skits, or maybe I'll find some time to make more episodes of Numnutz Gaming. I'll still come back to TheSuperNumnutz, it's just that I probably won't go out of my way to make videos on TheSuperNumnutz.
Sorry, this got way out of hand. I just wanted to write a quick little post to let you know that I'm changing my content for the internet. Please please please go check out my personal YouTube channel; ChaseYama. I'll probably be posting videos on there a lot more. Thanks for reading and watching and sticking with me. I love you.
